In the next post I will talk a little bit more about the digital transformation, which I mentioned in previous posts as with this the companies rely on technology to improve processes and benefits.

To better understand the digital transformation and the benefits that are bringing to companies and society, it is good to analyze the current context a bit.

At present we can see that in society people use technologies to exchange what they need, without resorting to traditional entities such as companies.

Currently we see that people are connected to multiple devices (computer, telephone, tablet) carrying out multiple tasks. We also see that people are better informed so they can make better decisions before buying. We also observe how people relate more thanks to social networks and messaging, and finally how we generate information constantly.

Change in technologies

We see that the change of technologies is leading to more companies being digitized thanks to smart phones. which allows connectivity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Also high-speed networks, such as optical fiber and 4G, which has facilitated connectivity and applications in the cloud. Another factor is the reduction in costs, which facilitates the massification of technology.

We have evolved from the browser age, through the age of search engines, the collaborative era, the digital era of work stations, the era of mobile phones to finally get where we are, the internet age of things.

The above is evidenced by the autonomous vehicle, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, synthetic biology, drones, augmented reality and the internet of things.

Change in business

Digital transformation leads to new ways for companies to access customers, technology allows changing the value chain of businesses, such as access by use, new “mobile apps”, generating new opportunities, there are collaborative ways to solve the needs thanks to technology, and new disruptive models appear that change the way of doing business.
